Los Angeles based act THE MARCHES have had us holding our breath for new material and today they delivered a tease, by covering THOM YORKE’s haunting “Black Swan” from his solo ‘Eraser‘ release, and flipping it on it’s head. Whispery like the original is where it breaks from being a straight cover version, as it turns into a CAPTAIN BEEFHEART/Jazz freakshow. We’ve appreciated them all along for their ‘run-against-the-grain’ approach, their HORNS, and their fierce independence. We just found out that this track actually appears on the soon to be released (August 3rd) EP, called “Director Of Photography” on Satellite/ Star Records.
